Our Response to COVID-19

From our Founder, Justin Dean:

(April 6, 2020)

We are definitely living through an unprecedented time. I know that a lot of things seem uncertain right now, particularly when it comes to when businesses will re-open, and when events and conferences like ours will be able to meet again.

I want to assure you, that as a conference organizer, I am very mindful of the safety and health of our community. We would never facilitate or encourage anything that may put others in harms way. In fact, we have been very vocal during this time about churches who continue to gather amid the COVID-19 crisis.

We highly encourage church leaders to listen and follow the orders of their local governments and authorities, as well as the advice of our President and the CDC. We are not living through a time of persecution against the church right now. As church leaders we need to be responsible. This may mean temporarily shifting the way you do church and finding new ways to meet the needs of your community that doesn’t involve large gatherings.

As a conference we will also heed this advice if the time comes. That Church Conference 2020 is more than 5 months away, so at this time our plans are to continue with the event as planned.

However, I know that doesn’t provide you with much security and comfort, so I want to share our contingency plan with you.

If we need to cancel the September conference:

  1. We will instead hold a digital online-only conference on the same dates. If you already have a ticket, you’ll be able to view the digital experience for free, as well as have access to the replay videos.

  2. Additionally, if the conference cannot be held in September, we will hold it on the next available date, likely in the Spring of 2021 or September of 2021. Your existing ticket will transfer to any future event.

Again, our current plan is to continue with the conference in-person, September 22 & 23, 2020 at Gwinnett Church in Sugar Hill, GA. If that changes we will notify you and put the plan above into place.

In the meantime, we are keeping our rates low, at $167 per ticket. We are also including a free Replay Pass with every ticket.

My hope is that this provides you with some security as you decide whether to join us this year. I would hate for you and your church to miss out on this important training and time with other church communicators.

In fact, right now is a great time to buy plane tickets and secure hotel rooms for September. Most airlines and hotels are offering free cancellations, and right now their rates are lower than they ever have been.

If you have any questions, or need assistance with anything, please reach out. I’m always available.
